Annual JLMC Oyster Fest April 30, 2011 from 4-8pm
Did you know that only 26% of adults in North Carolina over age 25 graduate from a four year college? Join the Junior League of Moore County for their annual Oyster Fest fundraiser to help raise money to support young women at risk in Moore County.
The Junior League provides scholarships, information, and motivation to young women at risk to help expose them to possibilities for career and social achievement.
The Junior League is happy to announce their partnership for this event with the Boys and Girls Club of the Sandhills. A portion of the proceeds will also go towards helping the Boys and Girls Club with their mission to inspire, enable and educate young people from all backgrounds and circumstances to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.
Tickets for this event are $5 and can be purchased from any League member. You can also send us a message and someone will be in contact with you.
This year’s event is a great way to kick back and have fun with your family after spending the morning at Spring Fest. The bands of Pinestock will be playing and there will be food and beer available for purchase. Food choices are provided by Hickory Tavern and will include Oysters as well as other kid friendly options. The beer will feature selections from local brewery the Rail House in Aberdeen. There will also be a large children’s area with games and entertainment for the children. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair and we will see you there!
